Monday night at 6.30pm we have four groups:

–          Beginners walk/jog 1-3 km,

–          Intermediate continuous jogging 3-6 km,

–          Advanced continuous jogging 6-10 km, and

–            A track group called Track Mondays, for those that want to concentrate on speed and interval work under Jim Mundie’s guidance. Jim is a fully qualified Scottish Athletics coach.

 

Wednesday night at 6.30pm we have three groups:

–                   Beginners walk/jog 1-3 km,

–                   Intermediate continuous jogging 3-6 km, and

–                   Advanced continuous jogging 6-10 km.

Thursday night at 6.30pm From April To end of October we have an informal track group who again concentrate on speed and interval work under Jim Mundie’s instruction. From the end of October when the clock’s change we stop running the track and organise a circuits class which this year is being held in Peterhead Academy Assembly hall. We only charge £1.50 per night. Last year this proved very popular with an average of 25 members taking part each week.

 

Friday night – we have an informal session called “The Friday Fumble” where each of the joggers decide what distance they want to do along the same route and all turn at different point on that route!! We also use the Friday nights for training for bigger events like the Baker Hughes 10km and Peterhead Half Marathon. With the Bakers Hughes 10km we started a 5 week programme starting at 5km and added a 1 km a week to take you up to the 10km, after that we continued training for Peterhead Half Marathon 5 weeks later.
